As an owner of many older lava lamps this lamp is nothing but garbage. The lamp is so cloudy I can barely even see the wax. Even if I could see the wax there is no point because it all sits at the middle and doesnt move. These lamps used to run great, that is until lava lite moved its manufacturing over to china. These lamps used to sell for over $40 and now they are down to about $20. You get what you pay for.
Takes my dental care to a new level
My dental hygienist recommended one of the new generation of electric toothbrushes to help my personal situation, which involves deep pockets between the teeth and gums. I had already had oral surgery for these years ago, a miserable experience that I never want to go through again. Since my oral care routines arent all that they should be (such as regular flossing) I decided to give this a try. The Sonicare Essence was less expensive than some other models that mostly include frills that I could live without.
Using this initially provides strange sensations that I got used to fairly easy. I didnt like the feeling of the shaft of the brush rattling against my teeth but have learned to mostly avoid that contact. The slender handle/body is easy to hold and maneuver. As with most other models it shuts off after two minutes, to encourage one to take enough time to do an adequate job assuming that you let it run for the full cycle. I should mention that I do a gentle Water Pic flushing beforehand to wash away trapped particles, so I believe my final results are skewed a bit. The fine vibrations of the Essence alone may not be too effective at clearing particles stuck between teeth. That said, the sonic action certainly should be highly effective for my intended target: the tooth/gum interface which is so critical. Gingivitis patients should not hesitate to buy this toothbrush; the cost is nothing compared to the benefits. The replacement brush heads are supposed to last 6 months, and considering the cost (I think something like $10-12 ea.) I would certainly hope they can last that long.
Summing up, I probably wouldnt have bought this or any other model if I hadnt been advised to do so but now wish Id had it a long time ago. Havent had it even 2 month but I can feel the difference it has already made and am looking forward to positive feedback at my next dental checkup.
a large is too small
i was very dissapointed in these pajamas.i only weigh 148 pounds and the large was too small.a complete waist of money and the pants are flooding on me.very cute pattern but whats the use i cant wear them.and i am not going to send them back it cost more to do that.and i wont take this review off for a refund.so there you have it.not a good by.
Love these baking pans 101%
The sizes are accurate! Regular baking measurements. The weight is perfect- not to heavy-yet very firm and ample grip for elderly or disabled hands. Great non stick baking pans, they fit my family needs perfectly. I hand wash my stuff, so I dont understand why some one would dish washer these, as they rinse off with water. So I never have seen rust. I Love this set. You can not find all of these quality baking pans separately for this great price. These high quality pans are great for high altitudes-Colorado!
great plates!
I am very happy with this set! The plates are large and the bowls are really big! I like that. They are solid and beautiful. The cups are a good size too. Overall great set
Perfect Medium-Sized Amateur Tent
Im an amateur camper and this tent works great. It set ups and tears down easily, and most importantly, can accommodate my 62 boyfriend (which was our biggest concern in purchasing a cheap tent). I wouldnt put three people in here. With tents, the rule seems to be subtract one person from the advertised capacity. Weve used it in a light rain without the rain hat (too lazy to put it on) and stayed dry.
Does what a lava lamp ought to do
it is ok. the only flaws are that it is kind of hard to see the white liquid and that it takes a while to heat up. it is slower than all my other lava lamps. I think that this is an alright lava lamp and I dont regret buying it.
Survived a Storm
Bought this tent for my son for Christmas to use on his Boy Scout camp outs (instead of borrowing mine).
We took the tent for a camp out this week-end with me and my 2 sons. The tent held 3 comfortably, though next time, Ill put myself in the middle and the boys can have the sides next to the wall.
On the camp out, we endured a severe thunderstorm with some of the heaviest rains I can remember, high winds, and hail. We sloshed through 3/4 inch of water during the rain, despite being on an incline. We waited out the storm under a pavilion and watched as many peoples tents blew down or collapsed under the heavy rain.
This little tent held up perfectly well. After the rain died down, I checked the tent and it was still standing strong and was mostly dry inside. My mostly dry I mean that the zipper and possibly the corner seams leaked VERY SLIGHTLY under the torrential rain. My sons and I brought in more water on our clothing than what had leaked in.
Overall, this tent outperformed my expectations.
Nice improvement over the original
I replaced my older model Sonicare with this one (after about 2 years of use, the battery could barely get me through a full brushing session). The Essence 5300s angled neck and smaller head make it easier to reach those tight spots near the back molars. One feature Ive never liked with the Sonicare, however, is the 2-minute automatic shutoff. I typically need 3 or 4 minutes to get the job done. Overall, the Sonicare has really helped my hygiene, and my dental charts are proof of that.
